Smart IoT London is the event to interpret, as well as describe, the IoT and the opportunities it brings, providing a route map for organisations looking to develop their IoT strategies.

The 2017 event will be guided by a steering committee comprised of some of the world’s leading IoT innovators, practitioners and thought leaders. They will help us define the most relevant subject matters and identify the best speakers for the conference.

We are pleased to announce that Phil Smith, Chair of Cisco UK & Ireland, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Patrons at Smart IoT London.

Phil SmithPhil Smith became Chairman of Cisco for the UK & Ireland in August 2016, after 8 years as Chief Executive. Additionally, Phil is the Chairman of Innovate UK (the UK’s Innovation agency) as well as Chairman of The Tech Partnership (the network of employers championing Digital skills for the UK). He also sits on the board of the National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) and is frequently called on to participate in industry leadership groups in the areas of Digital Transformation, Skills, Innovation and Productivity.

Dr John Bates - Is CEO for PLAT ONE, Author of Thingalytics and previous Chairman of Smart IoT London 2016

John Batesr. John Bates is the author of the recent book “Thingalytics: Smart Big Data Analytics for the Internet of Things” – an area in which he is passionate and has broad experience. Wall Street and Technology magazine named John one of the “Innovators of the Decade” and Institutional Investor lists him as one of the “Tech 50” most influential technologists. John holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cambridge University and was a University Lecturer there until he left to serve as Founder, President and CTO of ‘Apama’, the revolutionary real-time analytics company. John CEO of PLAT ONE and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Andy Mulholland - Constellation Research, former CTO of Cap Gemini

Andy MulhollandAndy Mulholland is Vice President and Principal Analyst focusing on cloud business models. Formerly the Global Chief Technology Officer for the Capgemini Group from 2001 to 2011, Mulholland successfully led the organization through a period of mass disruption. Mulholland brings this experience to Constellation’s clients seeking to understand how Digital Business models will be built and deployed in conjunction with existing IT systems.

Anne Lange - CEO, Mentis

Anne LangeAnne Lange has over 20 years of global experience in technologies. She started her career at the French Prime Minister’s office, as the head of the department responsible for state-owned broadcasting companies. In 1998, she joined Thomson, a high-tech champion, and built up a new generation of consumer electronics devices proposing internet access. At Cisco (from 2004), she held diverse functions involving consulting engagements to help public sector clients use technological, organizational and business process innovation to drive industry transformation. Anne is currently the CEO of Mentis, a software company that pioneers a new approach for rendering IoT data intelligent, helping large organizations foster innovative solutions in the urban space. Anne graduated from Sciences Po and ENA. She is a board member at Orange and Imprimerie Nationale.

Richard Soley - Executive Director,  Industrial Internet Consortium

Richard SoleyDr. Richard Mark Soley is Executive Director of the Industrial Internet Consortium and is responsible for the vision and direction of the organization. In addition to this role, Dr. Soley is Chairman and CEO of the Object Management Group (OMG) – an international, nonprofit computer industry standards consortium -- and Executive Director of the Cloud Standards Customer Council – an end-user advocacy group.

Scott Amyx - CEO, Amyx & McKinsey

Scott AmyxScott Amyx was voted one of the Top 25 Global Speakers by Speaking.com. Scott is a thoughtleader,speaker, and author on wearables and the Internet of Things and the Managing Partner at Venture1st and CEO of Amyx+McKinsey. He has been nominated by the Republic of Korea to represent cuttingedge research and case studies on wearables and the Internet of Things at the ITU Telecom World 2015 in Budapest. He will debut the concept of “The Digital Currency of Happiness” at TEDx. Intel & TBS’s America’s Greatest Makers look to Scott to recommend the most promising startups. As a thought leader in wearables & IoT, Scott explores the intersection of enterprise implications and consumer decisions of adopting wearables & IoT technologies. 

Julie Alexander - Director of Urban Development, Siemens

JulieJulie leads on Siemens’ approach to Smart Cities and to enable and promote knowledge transfer, Julie works with the Siemens business on the benefit of digitalization in the city, in areas such as smart grid and energy management, intelligent transport systems and Industry 4.0. Julie represents Siemens on the UK Smart Cities Forum and the UK All Party Parliamentary Group for Smart Cities.

Jonny Voon - Lead Technologist, IoT, Innovate UK

Jonny VoonJonny is Innovate UK’s Lead Technologist for Internet Technology, and has a particular focus on the Internet of Things, Cyber Security and Cloud Computing. The Internet of Things has been hailed as one of the “Eight Great Technologies” and Jonny runs the IoT programme that includes the design and delivery of large-scale demonstrators and test beds. He also currently leads activity in the development of innovation in cyber security and cloud technology across the digital economy programme.

Richard Foggie - Digital Director, KTN 

Richard FoggieThirty years’ experience in health, science & technology and Whitehall, Richard has been advocating and working to advance eHealth and Technology Enabled Care Services for much of his career. Now an innovation broker with the KTN he strives to create business and service innovations that address societal challenges within the UK and EU.

Andre Burgess - Program & Strategy Director, Smart IoT Global

Andre BurgessAndre is responsible for programming and content strategy for the Smart IoT events globally.  He has worked in the Telecoms and Digital Industries for 19 years,with a focus on managing the transactional flow across the digital value chain. More recently he has been applying his expertise in helping to transition to a smarter cleaner UK energy system, through his Smart Energy data business, BrightPath Technology.
